Corporate Finance

Transactions totaling more than USD 5 billion in the equity capital markets; USD 3 billion in mergers and acquisitions, and more than USD 3 billion in the debt market in the last five years, have made Celfin Capital the Chilean leader in corporate finance.

We now face the challenge of consolidating the process of internationalization that we have started in recent years, with cross-border transactions such as the acquisition of Cementos Melón by the Brescia Group of Peru, Farmacias Ahumada by the Casa Saba Group of Mexico, and Cintra by ISA of Colombia; debt issues by Cencosud, Ripley, and Parque Arauco in Peruvian Soles; debt issues by GeoPark, CorpGroup and Oro Blanco outside Chile under Regulation S; and our first transaction in Peru: a Public Offering for Constructora Milenia.

In 2010 we created our Infrastructure area, to participate in the market for financing infrastructure projects – estimated at more than USD 45 billion, in 150 projects, in Chile, Peru, Colombia and Mexico in the next three years. Celfin has participated in approximately half of all ADR placements by Chilean companies and has contributed to the development of the market for BBB-rated Bonds in Chile.
